It’s only a matter of days before our first performance - Dueling Divas - takes the stage in the Playhouse of the beautiful Overture Center. We have been working on this production for months and are very pleased with how it has turned out.
We are confident that this will be an entertaining night for those of you interested in a higher level of music but are unsure of where to start in terms of taking it in.
Frankly, we are confident that even if you are an expert in classical music you will find this entertaining because we are taking a new approach in how we present operatic music to an audience.
We have a fantastic cast of some of the best musicians and singers in the Mid-west. Some will no doubt find our presentation unorthodox, but that has been our approach from the beginning. We want to give the audience a couple of hours of entertainment at a fast-paced and high level.
In Dueling Divas, you will experience many bursts of high-level music, spanning centuries of composition. Within a boxing ring. With an announcer. And, the audience ultimately will decide which Diva (or Divo) will win the prize. Perhaps it sounds crazy, but it works.
