Puppets: Not Just For Public Service Messages At The Library Anymore!

We came across this interesting article featuring the DuPage Symphony, Madcap Puppet Theatre of Cincinnati, and a double booking at the Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College in Illinois.

Both groups were scheduled for the same day, and instead of one cancelling, they decided to join together for a show entitled "Fairy Tale Fantasia" featuring music from Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and Copland's "Hoe Down."

Fresco is interested in this concept.  We feel it would be fun to perform an opera with puppets, given the staging possibilities.  "Fidelio" may be pushing the boundaries a tad, but how cool would Ravel's "L'Enfant et les Sortileges" be, performed with puppets?
